A car flew for 35 minutes and landed in Bratislava (video)

The AirCar flew the world’s first long-haul flight in Slovakia. The convertible with a folding glass roof, developed by Slovak professor Stefan Klein, took off from the city of Nitra, was in the air for 35 minutes, landed at the airport in Bratislava and continued on its way to the center of the capital.

To take off, the vehicle must accelerate well. The gain distance must be at least 300 meters. The acceleration track does not have to be asphalt. The video shows the flying car accelerating in Nitra on a lane. The car rises in the sky using a 1.6-liter gasoline engine from BMW with 140 hp.

AirCar is a two-seater car on land and a small plane in the air. The conversion takes 2 minutes and 15 seconds and is possible thanks to the folding wings and the retractable rear. The car boasts a mileage of 1000 km and a top speed of 200 km / h.
