The call service received it around 13.30, receiving information that the car had entered the Daugava near the Akmens bridge.
At the scene, a group of divers found the car about 20 meters from the shore and at a depth of five meters underwater. A dead man was found in the car.
State Police spokeswoman Līna Kaļķe confirmed that the car “Subaru” had entered the Daugava from the AB dam. Damaged fence at the scene.
