A car crashes into a cyclist in Harmoni, in the center of Jakarta, the driver escapes

A person cyclist hit and run drive to Harmoni red light intersection, Central Jakarta. The car is said to have fled after the accident.

The incident was confirmed directly by the Vice President of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Sahroni, who was pedaling on the spot. He said the incident happened at 6:30 am WIB.

“There was an Avanza car accident at the Harmoni red light crossing towards Tomang, it happened at 06:30 this morning,” Sahroni said in his Instagram, Saturday (11/05/2022) . She has already allowed his post to be quoted.

Meanwhile, confirmed separately, Sahroni said the accident occurred while he was on a bicycle. He said the car ran away immediately after the accident cyclist.

“Yes, that’s right, I’m pedaling too, the accident in front of my eyes, the Avanza immediately rushed towards Tomang but was chased by the police, so he ran away,” Sahroni said.

He admitted he reported the incident to Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya. Even the license plate of the car, he said, was secured by the police.

“The license plate of the car fell on the spot and was taken by the guard at the red light. I also informed the traffic direction of the Polda Jaya subway,” he said.

“Well, after I ordered the police to go after the one who hit, the cyclist was immediately lifted to the left,” he continued.
