More than 20 people were injured

According to police, at least six people lost their lives, at least 50 were injured and more than 25 were seriously injured. One child was killed.

It happened in a small village east of Mons in the early hours of the day. Two young men were in the car. They have been detained. The car was moving at high speed and there were no signs of braking.

The cause of the serious case is currently unclear. Police and prosecutors will hold a press conference later today to announce the original version.
