COL.- A call for attention to Petróleos de Venezuela Sociedad Anónima (PDVSA) Servicios was made by councilor Gregorio Sánchez, so that the pertinent corrective measures be carried out in the Postes Negros sector, Jorge Hernández de Cabimas parish.
The councilor stated that Pdvsa Servicios carried out repair work on an oil pipe in the Postes Negros sector of the Jorge Hernandez parish more than a year ago and broke a white water pipe and did not repair said pipe.
He indicated that every time the water arrives in that sector, it spills and runs all over the highway, affecting the pavement of the streets and the houses in that sector.
He affirmed that he did not cover the hole, nor did he remove the rubble, which he did in front of a house, which has resulted in the deterioration of the fence that is about to collapse and that prevents the owners of the house from accessing their home.
The mayor stressed that some members of the communal councils of that sector called on him to take action.
In this regard, Alexis Arape, a resident of the area, stated that a PDVSA official had informed him that they had delivered the materials to the Maracaibo Hydrological Office (Hidrolago), so that they could repair the pipe they had damaged, but they did not the repair job.
Those affected affirm that PDVSA must assume its responsibility and have to repair this hole, which as a company caused and which is affecting a family and the entire community in that sector due to the water spill.
In the same way, they affirm that they are willing to take other protest measures, with the communal councils, if they do not obtain any response from PDVSA.
