The fire aboard a sightseeing bus carrying a group of retirees was reported at 8:55 a.m. on Saturday June 12 in the morning. It was at Bourgoin-Jallieu in Isère on the A43 from Grenoble to Lyon that the vehicle caught fire. The 25 people on board, a group of retirees and their companions, were able to leave the bus. All the passengers are unharmed. According to the Isère firefighters, the hypothesis of an accidental cause is favored concerning the start of the fire. The bus was completely destroyed. It was to link Grenoble to the Pyrenees.
On the A43, only the left lane remained open to traffic, while the emergency services intervened. Several kilometers of traffic jams have been reported.
