Karolina and Patryk, who came from Lubaczów and the surrounding area. They have been together for 6 years. The girl finished her studies in Rzeszów and they both recently lived there. – They were to get married in a month. The young people wanted to collect some of their own money – a friend of the victims says in an interview with Fakt.
The neighbors are shocked. Everyone feels sorry for the parents. – He’s my cousin, a great boy. An incomprehensible tragedy … – says Patryk’s relative and immediately bursts into tears.
Karolina and Patryk had a bus to get to the Netherlands quickly and safely. There, a “recorded” seasonal harvest work was waiting for them. The girl’s relative and their friend went with them.
A 53-year-old mother of two also went from a small village near Lubaczów to the Netherlands. – She wanted some extra money. This was going to be her first trip. She left me – the woman’s husband, Kazimierz, wipes her tears.
The bus driver was stuck in the cabin
The passengers and the coach driver were also injured. In the most serious condition is the man driving him, who was stuck in the cabin after the accident.
– He was trapped in the vehicle, rescuers had to use hydraulic equipment to get him out. This person was taken by the helicopter of the Polish Medical Air Rescue – said Cpt. Damian Dudek from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Gliwice. In total, seven people were sent to Silesian hospitals. They are not in danger.

Four people were transported to hospitals in Zabrze, two to the Provincial Specialist Hospital No. 4 in Bytom, and the 29-year-old driver was taken by LPR helicopter to the Upper Silesian Medical Center in Katowice-Ochojec. – The patient underwent limb surgery. One of the injured has already left the hospital
The 29-year-old underwent a complicated right leg operation. At the HED, he was consulted by doctors of several specializations. His life is not in danger, but he must remain under observation.
One of the injured women, whose doctors took out glass shards, left the hospital on Sunday morning. – The patient is under observation in the orthopedics ward. His life is not in danger – said Iwona Wronka, spokeswoman for WSS No. 4 in Bytom.
There were security guards on the bus
TVN24 learned that security workers were returning from work in Wrocław by bus. – Bus passengers who did not suffer from the accident went to Ruda Śląska. They were taken home by a bus – said the spokeswoman of the Silesian voivode, Alina Kucharzewska.
