By order of the prosecutor’s office, the woman was taken to the psychiatric clinic of the local hospital for an assessment of her condition.
The fire service on the Greek island of Rhodes detained a 57-year-old Bulgarian woman for three arsons a few days ago, according to the local information site rodiaki.gr.
The Bulgarian, who is said to have had serious psychological problems, is suspected of causing three fires on the outskirts of the island’s administrative center on August 14th.
By order of the prosecutor’s office, the woman was taken to the psychiatric clinic of the hospital in Rhodes for assessment of her condition. At the same time, on the basis of the file, the criminal procedure provided by law will begin.
In early August, a huge fire broke out on the Greek island of Rhodes. Due to the fire, much of the island was left without electricity for several hours, and residents of the villages of Psinfos and Maritsa were evacuated for security reasons. Firefighters were able to prevent the spread of fire in the Valley of the Butterflies, popular with tourists and the rarest nature reserve in Europe.
