The robbers took his passport, money and other documents. The man asked officials to help him return to Bulgaria, but was told to seek help from Sofia’s embassy in Bogota.

After realizing that he could not get on a plane to his homeland, the Bulgarian broke a bottle and pressed part of it to his neck in an attempt to cut his throat. The tragedy took place in the main area of ​​the airport. Amid the screams of shocked passengers, the man slashed his neck repeatedly as security tried to stop him.
