We approached a worker who works on this site.
As the slab fell, I was there. We who work here. We hadn’t finished working and it was just as we were getting ready to leave and my friends were going out to get their belongings. That’s when I wanted to go inside to get my bag, I saw the floor collapse and I rushed to run. There are five people and motorbikes,” testifies Konaté Aboubacar, a worker on this site.
Well before this testimony, we noticed the evacuation by the civil protection police of two other survivors, taken to a hospital.
On the scene, the police, the civil protection team, the gendarmerie, as well as the prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Mafanco, Ibrahima Kanfory Camara, to observe the damage in order to initiate legal action against the first presumed responsible. .
When we left the scene, none of those who are presumed victims had been found and the civil engineering team of the gendarmerie continued the search.
