Since 1 December, the inhabitants of an apartment building located east of Dijon (Côte-d’Or) have been living without heating. A real ordeal, given that temperatures in recent days have fluctuated around -10 degrees.
At the beginning of December, we tell you the story of Théo and Manon, a young couple living in Marsannay-la-Côte (Côte-d’Or) whose building has been without heating and hot water for more than a month. . If everything has since returned to normal, they are not the only ones facing this kind of complication. Hélène, lives east of Dijon. And since last December 1, she too has been living the same nightmare. “We still don’t have hot water or heating… it will take two weeks tonight“, she indicated, annoyed, on Wednesday 14 December.
The situation is not limited to his single apartment, located in a condominium residence not far from the hospital and the university campus: all the inhabitants pay the price. “The other day a neighbor came to see me to tell me that it was 16 degrees at home. Same goes for my landlord, who lives here, no heat either. And he is an old person“, sighs Helene. “It’s simply unlivable.“
One morning when I woke up, it was 11 degrees in my kitchen.

The residents then contact their trustee, so that they can make the necessary arrangements with Dalkia, the service provider who takes care of the boiler. The day after the failure was discovered, a technician sent to the site noticed an anomaly on the device. An initial repair with a spare part is then carried out. “It worked for an hour or two and boom, it popped up again“, slips the young woman. Despite numerous phone calls to the company in the following days and at least one other intervention – “bandages on a hemorrhage“According to Hélène, the situation remains unchanged.
For her part, Dalkia confirms that she is in contact with the trustee who manages the residence”,who is, among other things, responsible for ordering spare parts in case of problems. This is what happened in this case“, specifies the company. According to it, some of the aforementioned parts were received at the beginning of the week, but the rest of the equipment, in this case a beam and a mixer, is still in transit. Their arrival is however expected by the weekend.
Until we have these parts, we risk tripping and therefore scratching the electronic boards. Which would be even more serious and longer in terms of repair.
However, heating problems seem to be increasing in recent days, and not just in the Dijon area. This is the case, for example, of Montbéliard, in the Doubs, where a student residence has been deprived of it since 6 December.
