>Respect for the inhabitants: The majority must keep its own commitments on citizenship. In 2021, this is far from having been the case: on 5G, public lighting, the Pont-Neuf… We see a certain distrust of the inhabitants on certain decisions. People were expecting a lot from this close return and were owed, we hope that the citizens’ assembly will not be the tree that hides the forest. Anthony Brottier denounces choices that generate There is always a division: on the new logo of the City, on the opposition between cyclists and others, on the priority of greening the city center over the districts… Isabelle Chedaneau adds: For the choice to pass the city at 30 km / h everywhere, the inhabitants could have been consulted, and we should seek a consensus between the majority and the opposition: participated in the rejection of the measures.
>Respect for institutions: The choice to establish a green belt (preserving land in the Alinor-d’Aquitaine business area for agricultural activities) was made at the request of the political party Europe ecologie-Les Verts, without deliberation of the council of Grand Poitiers! Poitiers, the municipality refuses to put CO2 sensors in opposition to the government, but we must stop politicizing subjects that do not deserve it. But we don’t want Poitiers to lose six months or a year because some play their card in the electoral campaign, since elected officials who are in Poitiers affairs are running for the legislature.
