The winner of 109 million euros came forward to withdraw her winnings. This is the largest sum pocketed for the year 2023 in France.

A Breton woman won more than 109 million euros in the Euromillions during the September 1 draw, announced Thursday, September 14, the Française des jeux to France Bleu Armorique and France Bleu Breizh Izel, confirming information from the newspaper Le Télégramme. This fifty-year-old had recently been made redundant. Quoted by the FDJ, she explains that she “worried a lot”but in “no more pressure from work”.
The player validated her winning flash ticket at “Kernevel” in Larmor-Plage (Morbihan). For the moment, this is the biggest gain pocketed for the year 2023 in France. La Française des jeux indicates that the owner of the ticket has already “manifested to withdraw his gain”. “Payment will be made in the coming days”specifies La Française des jeux.

The Breton woman played Euromillions by chance, unaware of the jackpot amount. She even thought she had won a few dozen euros at most, explains the FDJ. When she got home, she realized the amount she had actually won and decided to hide her ticket in her handbag. “I even mowed the lawn with my bag under my shoulder”she jokes to the Française des Jeux.
With her winnings, the player wants to take trips and buy a house, thus becoming a homeowner for the first time. She also wants to get involved in associations.
