The vertiginous drop in mercury caused water damage to the Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus in Caraquet. Due to the damage, several appointments will therefore be canceled this Monday. The sectors affected are electrocardiography, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and respiratory therapy. Thus, all patient appointments for Monday February 6 are canceled in these sectors. The Hospital said in a press release that the patients concerned will be contacted to reschedule their appointments at a later date. In the meantime, work has already begun to upgrade the plumbing which did not resist. This work could last a few weeks.
