An explosive device was reported anonymously in the building of the University of Economics. Both campuses of the school in Žižkov and in Jižní Město were closed until 2:30 p.m. The police went to the scene together with a pyrotechnician.

The explosive was reported in the building of the University of Economics on Tuesday, January 23 in the morning. The school also confirmed the incident. Both campuses, in which the inspection took place, remained closed until around half past three in the afternoon. “We thank you for your cooperation and apologize for the inconvenience,” said representatives of the University of Economics.
Immediately after the notification, the police went to both campuses, and the intervention continued until the afternoon. School opened around half past three in the afternoon.
According to police spokesman Jan Rybanský, the building in Jižní Město was already searched by a pyrotechnician and no explosive device was found. In Žižka, the pyrotechnic display also turned out negatively. “Evacuation was not necessary, but several dozen students left the buildings voluntarily before the police arrived,” he added to Deník Rybanský.
