Once again a hero at the Santiago Bernabéu, Brazilian ace Vinícius Júnior scored, in the 87th minute, close to the end of the game against Julen Lopetegui, by Julen Lopetegui, former FC Porto coach, the goal that won the 2-1 victory against merengues, maintaining the comfort of a four-point advantage, in the lead, over 2nd ranked Atlético Madrid.
The Andalusians scored first, by Rafa Mir, after a corner hit by ex-Sporting Marcos Acuña, on 12′, but Real Madrid reached an equalizer in the 32nd minute by Karim Benzema, taking advantage of a tremendous error by the visiting goalkeeper and, in the second part, in the 87th minute, Vinícius Júnior, with an individual play of great class and inspiration, signed the triumphant goal.
Sevilla maintains 4th place, with 28 points, but now with rival Betis very close, in 5th place, with just one point less.
