Carlos Vinícius had to give explanations to the general director for football at Benfica, Rui Pedro Braz, after photographs of him were released in a restaurant in Aroeira when he should have been observing the mandatory 14-day isolation, having returned from Brazil, where was on vacation.
The 26-year-old forward acknowledged that he was at the establishment on Thursday, the last day of his holiday. And it was precisely on that day, but at night, that he performed at Seixal, where he is alone in a room.
Benfica were taken by surprise with the situation and Rui Pedro Braz spoke yesterday with Carlos Vinícius. The explanations will have been satisfactory and it is not foreseen to open any disciplinary inquiry to the advanced.
