The SDUQ of Paços de Ferreira announced, this Monday, that it is still waiting for a favorable opinion from the Authority for the Prevention and Combat of Violence in Sport to be able to reopen the west bench and which is intended for fans of the visiting team. It is recalled that this area was closed after being shot down during the game against Sporting, on November 8, and was the subject of restructuring works.
Ticket sales for the meeting with the dragons, scheduled for Sunday, will not start until Wednesday, the club’s statement reads.

«FC Paços de Ferreira SDUQ (FCPF SDUQ) informs all those interested in purchasing tickets for the next match between our team and FC Porto that ticket sales will not start until next Wednesday.
This fact is due to a lack of definition about the possibility of using the Topo Poente bench. Following the ban set by Liga Portugal on the aforementioned bench, we can say that:
– FCPF SDUQ took note of all the requirements of Liga Portugal (Liga) so that we could request the lifting of the ban and requested a technical study from the Institute of Construction of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (IC-FEUP);
– The engineering team was on site, collected samples and carried out several tests that led to the conclusion that the bench structure does not present problems that justify its ban. The same study presented some suggestions for improvement in order to reinforce safety;
– The FCPF SDUQ promptly carried out a technical intervention that was not only necessary but preventive of everything when required;
– A new inspection was requested from the League, which visited the bench on February 24 and verified in loco what was mentioned in the previous point. On the same day, IC-FEUP Engineers explained to the League the technical details of the study they carried out;
– In view of the positive feedback received by Liga Portugal, we started the process of organizing the game, taking into account the use of the Topo Poente bench;
– As the ban led to a temporary change in the Visitor Special Conditions of Access and Permanence Zone (ZCEAP) to the East Top, we ask the Authority for the Prevention and Combat of Violence in Sport (APCVD) to return the visiting ZCEAP to the West Top;
– During today we received a positive opinion from the National Republican Guard (GNR) for this, as well as the League report, which reads that “CTV considers that the security conditions are met for lifting the ban on the respective removable bench, awaiting the favorable opinion of the APCVD, in terms of safety in the use of the bench, given that it is a ZCEAP;
– Until the end of today, FCPF SDUQ has not received any communication from APCVD;
– In view of the above, FCPF SDUQ decided not to start the process of selling tickets for the meeting with FC Porto, until receiving an opinion (positive or negative) from the APCVD for the use of the bench;
– Certain that the APCVD will recognize compliance with all the required security conditions, we inform you that it is our intention to make 4 types of tickets available to the general public. To know:
