Santa Clara continues on the path of victories in their European debut. After overtaking Shkupi, from Northern Macedonia (with a total of 5-0), the Azorean team won, this Thursday, Olimpija Ljubljana, from Slovenia, by 2-0.
Carlos Júnior kept his aim sharp and opened the scoring on the 14th minute, with a header in the small area, after a mid-range cross from the left. On the edge of the break, Mansur increased the count.
In the second half, the team led by Daniel Ramos continued with a plus, because after 63 minutes the opponent was reduced to 10 players, due to the expulsion of Korun (direct red).
The marker, however, did not work again, still remaining an important advantage for the second leg, scheduled for next Thursday, the 12th.
