The Sporting coach dedicated the award to the team and the rest of the technical team. «Without them it would not be possible. The prize is not mine, it belongs to the technical team. I cannot forget all the staff, the president, Hugo Viana and especially the players. I couldn’t be happier with the technical team. Some of us have come a long way already, we’ve been through a lot and that helps. They’re very good, I’m also very boring,” he said during the ceremony
Title? «Sporting cannot deviate from the path it has set. A title cannot change what we want to do. We have distances to close to rivals. The players were champions, but they are still young. We will try. We know it’s possible to go game by game.”
More ability as a coach than a player? “We will see. I think I’m a better coach because I have more help. My body didn’t help me much. All the problems I had helped me to be the coach I am today.”
