The CNID – Association of Sports Journalists denounced, through a statement, Cristiano Ronaldo’s refusal to answer questions from the CMTV journalist at the preview press conference for Portugal – Liechtenstein, this Wednesday. The statement from the CNIDThe CNID – Association of Sports Journalists learned that the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo informed, via FPF, before the start of yesterday’s Press Conference, that he would not answer questions from the CMTV journalist present there. It was information given to the Journalist himself shortly before the start of that act.

The CNID – Association of Sports Journalists, knowing that this is not the first time this has happened, understands that this attitude is incorrect and meaningless. A Press Conference is, by definition, open to all Journalists and where everyone has the opportunity to ask at least one question.

The Portuguese national team is, unfortunately, not an exception around the world. But also because there is a new period in the selection, it would be good to start from scratch. It therefore appeals to the parties involved to reach an understanding that goes beyond this regrettable situation. The CNID is available to help with this solution.
