And he has reason to believe in the passage to yet another final stage. Winning or tying in Dublin will need a point to stamp the passport to Qatar, in the final round of group A, with Serbia, on Sunday, at Estádio da Luz.
If he ends up with the same points as the Serbs, he will benefit from a better goal difference, the first tie-breaker. The runner-up will play a play-off. But even if it loses in Ireland today, the National Team will still depend on itself – but in that case it would already have to beat Serbia.
