The young Uruguayan Facundo Pellistri, 19, is delighting in Manchester United’s pre-season work. His performance in the game against Derby County earned rave reviews and some compared him to Lionel Messi.
«Run like Messi», «I’ve seen enough, Pellistri is a regeneration of Messi», «I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but Pellistri can win the Golden Ball» – These are some of the comments that rained down on social media to the exhibition of young player.
Pellistri was signed by Manchester United from Peñarol in October of last year, having been immediately loaned to Alaves, of Spain. He participated in 12 games and is now part of the pre-season work of the red devils, a club with which he has a contract until 2025.
