A BOLA – Pedro Proença confirms fans in the stands at the start of the season (League)

Pedro Proença confirmed, this Friday, that the next sporting season will start with fans in the stands, a wish he had already expressed during the draw for professional competitions. The president of the League used social media to announce that the first and second tier stadiums will be able to have up to 33 per cent of capacity, a percentage that will be reassessed throughout the season.

See the message:

«The start of the season is confirmed with the public in the stands! Following the meetings carried out in recent weeks with the Government and the DGS, it is with great satisfaction that we see a fair demand from the Portuguese League and all Sporting Societies being fulfilled throughout the last season: the return of our fans to their place that belongs to them…the benches! The 2021-22 season will start with the presence of 33% capacity in the stadiums, a percentage that will be reassessed depending on the epidemiological evolution, and our hope and conviction that it will be possible throughout the season to gradually progress to the maximum capacity of the stadiums . For this to be achieved it is imperative to achieve group immunity as quickly as possible. It is decisive that everyone, and at this stage especially the younger ones, follow the motto left by the campaign launched by Liga Portugal and all its clubs, the Government, the DGS and the Task Force: BE VACCINED! We are all at stake. We are all decisive.”
