For nearly two years, in Sporting’s football world, practically only two names have been spoken: Rúben Amorim. The man who arrived in Alvalade, almost unknown as a coach, in March 2020, soon became the center of all conversations. Because it made the club national champions, because it achieved this feat with the majority of players in the formation, and also because it has brought down some records that, at the beginning of 2020, were considered almost impossible to beat.
Starting, of course, with the long series of games in the League without losing. For over 50 years, between December 14, 1969 and December 13, 1970, Sporting played 29 games invincible.
