Boavista is trying to hire the defensive midfielder Ilija Vukotic, from Benfica’s B team. There are already advanced contacts between the clubs to seal a one-season loan. The 22-year-old Montenegrin midfielder, however, attracts several clubs in the League, for which the panthers face stiff competition.
Vukotic arrived at Benfica in the summer of 2017 to join the youth team. He made his debut, in the first season, in team B. For which he had 24 games and three goals last season. A Montenegrin U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-21 international, Vukotic may now have the opportunity to play at a more demanding competitive level. Benfica also believes that a loan to a first-tier team will favor the defensive midfielder’s growth.
