Marco Silva, the 44-year-old Portuguese coach who guides Fulham (England), was elected the Championship’s coach of the month of August.
The powerful start of the London team explains the election of Marco Silva as coach of the month: 13 points out of a possible 15, thanks to four victories and a draw in the first five matches of the competition, to which can also be added a 2-0 victory added against Birmingham in the English League Cup, in a total of 15 goals scored and three conceded.
Speaking to Fulham’s website, the coach welcomed the award received, distributing the credits to staff and squad: «It is a pleasure to receive the August award, which is a recognition of the collective work carried out by all of us at the Club. My staff, the players and everyone who works at Fulham FC put in a lot of effort. This is just the beginning of the campaign and there is still a lot of hard work ahead.”
