The recent conversations between Sporting and Inter Milan by João Mário proved to be very fruitful to the point that, as they confided to our newspaper, the clubs have already reached a basis of understanding that will enable the midfielder’s definitive return to Alvalade.
There are still some details of the contract between the clubs to be agreed and talks between the parties will continue this week in order to close the deal – this, despite yesterday, in Italy, there was news about a setback in the negotiations, due to financial differences, which is why Inter would already be evaluating offers from the French side of Nice and the Spanish side of Villarreal.
João Mário’s desire to return permanently to Sporting turned out to be a trump that the lions did not abdicate in their talks with Inter Milan. And although there are other clubs interested in the midfield, even with greater investment capacity, the truth is that the transfer of João Mário will involve the payment of an amount of around 7 and 8 million euros, in other words, much less than what the Italians paid in the summer of 2016, when they disbursed 40 million euros for the economic rights of the midfielder .
