FC Porto’s intention to buy the 20 percent of the pass that is still in the possession of Junior Barranquilla, reported by A BOLA, meets the growing expectations that are being generated in relation to a future transfer of Luis Díaz, which happens for the value of the clause – €80 million euros – will far exceed the €50 million paid by Real Madrid by Éder Militão in 2019/2020.
The Spanish newspaper AS reported that Liverpool was considering the purchase of the economic rights of the Colombian winger in January, in order to alleviate the prolonged absence of Sadio Mané in the African Cup of Nations (CAN), by Senegal. The African competition, organized by Cameroon, starts on January 9th and ends on February 6th, but the selections start the stages shortly after Christmas and New Year. Senegal is one of the favorites to win the CAN, so Mané could effectively be absent for a long time. Salah, star of Egypt, will also be in CAN, which aggravates the situation in the attack of Klopp’s team.
SAD and Sérgio Conceição coincide on one point: Luis Díaz won’t sell someone in January, because there is a championship to win and the assumed desire to go as far as possible in the Champions League. In January, FC Porto rarely trades their best assets, so a Liverpool advance can only be successful if the English pay the clause, set at €80 million.
