João Sacramento, 32-year-old coach, who has been assistant to José Mourinho in the Italian Roma technical team until a few days ago, is a strong possibility to take command of Benfica’s B team, which lost Nélson Veríssimo to lead the main team.
João Sacramento was assistant coach at Cardiff Welsh juniors, then an observer at the Welsh national team and in Monaco – where he worked with Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim -, he was then assistant coach at Lille’s French team and, in 2019, he arrived at Tottenham to join the team led by José Mourinho, in which he moved to Rome, Italy.
There are other hypotheses that have been analyzed and even today a definition may emerge about the new commander of the Eagles B team – who leads League 2, with one more point than Feirense, second-placed -, but João Sacramento is very well placed, bringing together the profile desired by SAD for the place.
