Pilar in Sporting’s midfield, João Palhinha is one of the big absentees of the derby against Benfica, in the 13th round. The Portuguese international suffered a muscle injury against Tondela and is thus prevented from contributing to the team.
On the eve of the game, Palhinha took the opportunity to leave a message on social media, with a guarantee.
“Thank you for all the messages and affection from you! I’ll be back soon with even more strength and determination. Together,” he wrote.
