FC Porto was defeated, in Funchal, by CAB Madeira, by 86-90, in a game of the 12th round of the national basketball championship. This was the second defeat in 10 games for the white and blues, the first in a game played, since the other one was due to the lack of appearance against Ovarense.
The islanders had an inspired night and arrived at half-time winning by a wide margin (55-37). In the second half, FC Porto turned around, leading by 78-72 but succumbing in the final minutes.
Jalan Mccloud, with 29 points (5/12 in triples) and 12 assists, was the great figure of CAB Madeira. In dragons, Paul Jorgensen scored 16 points.
