Directivo Ultras XXI, a cheerleader for Sporting, announced this Monday that it will leave the Curva Sul do Estádio de Alvalade. A measure of protest against the agreement signed between the Leonine Youth and the Ultras XXI Brigade with the leadership of the lions.
«At the end of the 2021/22 sports season, and following the approach taken by Sporting, for the purpose of concluding a cooperation protocol aimed at changing the positioning of this Association to the interior of the ZCEAP currently existing in the Curva Sul of the José Alvalade Stadium , the position of this Association opposing this change was made public, in defense of the consistency of its previous positions on the matter. […] However, two of the remaining three organized groups of supporters that make up Curva Sul made their own decisions, which we naturally respect, but with which we do not identify. […] Considering all these factors and after much consideration, we have come to inform you that we have decided to definitively and irrevocably end the participation and positioning of Associação Directivo Ultras XXI of Curva Sul do Estádio José Alvalade, returning to Curva Norte already in the 2022/23 sports season» , can be read.
