On the eve of the passing of testimony in the presidency – Rui Fontes takes office this Friday as the new president, a ceremony scheduled for 12.00 hours at the Estádio dos Barreiros -, Carlos Pereira, left, in a long communiqué, a farewell message to all maritimists.
Praising the work done, he guarantees that he leaves with a clear conscience, bearing in mind the legacy he leaves behind.
«Without false modesty, we believe that we leave a good basis for work, on which Marítimo can continue to develop and assert its unquestionable sporting, social, educational and economic relevance. In this context, recognizing that there are opportunities for improvement, the still current Management, for which I am the spokesperson here, will end its mandate with an absolutely clear conscience and with the feeling of having fulfilled, to the extent of its competences and availability, the purpose of aggrandize the Maritime.»
