A BOLA – Bordalás explains replacement of Gonçalo Guedes without mincing words (Valencia)

This Saturday, Valencia conceded a 1-1 draw, at home, against Rayo Vallecano. In the end, coach Pepe Bordalás didn’t mince words about Gonçalo Guedes, who was substituted 62 minutes into the match.

Asked if he replaced the Portuguese international due to physical problems, Bordalás shot: “There is no injury. I thought I should enter another player with a different profile. [Guedes] He was being neutralized and had some lost ball that cost us some counter attacks.»

The 24-year-old Portuguese international has always been a regular in Che’s squad this season, with 15 games and one goal.
