Going through a difficult time in terms of results (two defeats and one draw), the Juventus players were forced to stay in retirement at the club’s hotel, adjacent to the training center before the game against Zenit. A punishment by Allegri to force players to reflect on their latest league performance.
A punishment that seems to have worked. Juventus won the Zenit (4-2) categorically and for that very reason the players were rewarded… with a night at home.
The Italian version of the portal Goal reveals that Allegri authorized the squad to return to their respective homes, with a new retreat scheduled for Thursday, in order to prepare the game against Fiorentina. It remains to be seen if the result will be the same.
