A BOLA – 19-year-old winger takes his first steps in the main squad (Benfica)

Filipe Cruz, 19 years old, right back that this season has evolved essentially in the B team, was the main novelty yesterday morning in training directed by Nélson Veríssimo at the eagles training center in Seixal.

The young right-back, who lost his title in the last matches of the B team following an injury, considered one of the promises formed in the red academy for the right sector, joined for the first time the work of the main team with the aim of starting to gain routines among the elders and at the same time to assess his reaction to such a challenge.

It is not foreseen, at least for now, the inclusion of the young full-time full-time in the main team, but he could repeat in the near future the experience he had yesterday. Nélson Veríssimo knows him well, he was the holder of the right wing of the B team while the now red coach was in front of the secondary team: he made 12 games and scored one goal.

The red right wing is one of the most popular sectors of the squad with the presence of Valentino Lázaro (the most used in the seven games that Veríssimo takes in the main team), André Almeida (starter in the last game, the defeat against Gil Vicente) and Gilberto (recovering from tonsillitis). Names with whom Filipe Cruz may compete in the future.
