Human remains were discovered last week in Iowa. If an autopsy has yet to confirm it, they could belong to little Xavior, who has been missing in the United States since last May.
A macabre find on an Iowa farm. Last week, a body was found north of Montezuma. It would belong to a teenager whose description corresponded to little Xavior, who had been missing for several months. CBS 14 specifies that an autopsy has yet to confirm the identity of the body and that this could take several weeks. “It appears to be that of a teenager and the clothes seen at this scene, even if they are obviously soiled, correspond to what Xavior was wearing for the last time,” police said.
Xavior went missing in Iowa while cycling not far from his Montezuma home on May 27. Last June, Poweshiek County Sheriff Thomas Kriegel said in a statement that a reward had been opened by authorities at a local bank, of around $ 15,000, in order to obtain any information leading to find the boy. Volunteers, authorities including the FBI and the Iowa Bureau of Criminal Investigation all collaborate in the search. Investigators are trying to find out if Xavior ran away, was kidnapped, lost or was the victim of an accident.
The discovery of the body once again plunges this rural area into a nightmare. It was there that in 2018, 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts was found dead after her disappearance. She was kidnapped and killed by a man sentenced to life in prison last August.
