A big secret has come out for Kate and William – 2024-11-24 22:58:00

A big secret has fallen for Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The real reason the Dukes of Cambridge moved to Adelaide Cottage in 2022 has been revealed.

When Princess Catherine and Prince William decided to move from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Villa at Windsor Castle, the decision “surprised a lot of people”, according to royal expert Duncan Larcombe. But their reflections on their new “modest” home actually make a lot of sense, OK! magazine writes, GlasNews reports.

As well as being close to Queen Elizabeth II, who died just months after her grandson moved in, the four-bedroom cottage provided a sense of normalcy for the Welsh family.

“There are lots of other places they could have moved to, but Adelaide Cottage meets their desire as parents to be a normal family where there are no servants and they don’t have 30 rooms.” William would want his children to be close,” Larcombe said.

Royal author Katie Nicholl also believes the family are “very, very happy” in the villa. According to her, Prince William’s family had much less privacy at Kensington Palace.

“There isn’t much room, but Adelaide Cottage fits the bill,” added the writer.

However, their privacy was recently breached following a break-in on October 13 at Shaw Farm – just five minutes from the Welsh family’s home. According to the police report, two masked men entered the property looking for farm equipment and then crashed one of the stolen vehicles into a fence on the way out. The investigation continues, but the attackers have not been arrested.
