According to today’s information from the Ministry of Defense’s state secretariat responsible for sports, famous Hungarian athletes supported the cause and offered special items that they wore during a major moment in their careers. Sports fans can bid on these relics from February 14.
– The Hungarian sports community is a truly cohesive unit, even if its members are different: women and men, individual and team athletes, able-bodied and disabled. And when they have to stand up for a good cause, there’s no question, they do – as it happened now. We believe that being a champion means more than the number of medals. It is important for our elite athletes to feel what it means to become a role model, to give motivation and strength to others, and to lend a helping hand to those in trouble – read State Secretary for Sports Ádám Schmidt in the For champions.hu in the greeting on the auction page.
Among the athletes, Dominik Szoboszlai offered the Leipzig jersey he wore in the winning BL match against Real Madrid. In addition to the captain of the Hungarian national team, you can also bid on the shirts of András Schäfer and Ádám Hanga, and thanks to Zsolt Lőw, an original Lukaku shirt signed by the Chelsea players was also included among the relics. In addition to the athletes, the initiative is supported by a sports association and a fan association. The complete list of sports relics can now be viewed on the auction’s website.
Probably the biggest fight will be for Dominik Szoboszlai’s shirt. On October 25 last year, both Szoboszlai and Willi Orbán played the entire group game of RB Leipzig’s 3-2 win against Real Madrid in the fifth round of the Champions League.
