At the end of the daycare year, many changes are imminent in a few days. This year a total of 18 families are leaving the facility because the children of the Petruskrippe are moving to a kindergarten due to their age. For nine children each from the bees and caterpillars it is time to say goodbye. So that the little ones are prepared and the transition goes well, the topic of separation is taken up. The children’s portfolio is looked at together and everything that was learned and experienced in the crèche is discussed. “It is extremely important to convey to the children that they can master new challenges,” says the director, Birgitt Weber-Manthei, who and her team ensure that the transition is well accompanied.
