a better Samsung screen for the whole series

The latest leaks hint at a more efficient display technology. All Apple iPhone 14 would be affected.

The launch of the next generation ofiPhone fast approaching. Apple’s next keynote could indeed take place on September 13th. Rumors are accelerating and the latest evoke major advances for the future smartphones of the manufacturer.

A new display technology

According to Ross Young, CEO of DSCC, whose remarks were relayed by Forbesthe iPhone 14 and 14 Pro should benefit from Samsung’s new M12 OLED display technology, which should also make its debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. It would be a source of greater color accuracy, increased luminosity, as well as better energy efficiency.

This is one of the few advances that could affect the entire series.

The gap is widening between the Pro and the non-Pro

Apple is reportedly planning a number of major changes by its iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. First of all, they should be the only ones to enjoy the new notchless design, but also the always-on display. The new A16 Bionic chip would also be reserved for them, knowing that the iPhone 14 and 14 Max should keep the A15 Bionic of the iPhone 13.

In addition, the Pro should be equipped with a new 48 Mpx photo sensor, which would replace the current 12 Mpx module. The rest of the configuration would remain unchanged with an ultra wide-angle and a 12MP telephoto lens. Note that the rumor of a new periscope has emerged, but it would not be expected before 2023.

Towards a greater success of the iPhone 14 Pro

According to TF International Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, recognized for the quality of his forecasts, the Cupertino group plans to sell more iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max than standard and Max models. 60% of the production would concern these high-end variants.

However, the selling prices of the new Apple brand smartphones should be higher than those of their predecessors. According to Dan Ives, chief analyst at Wedbush Securities, all iPhone models could see their prices increased by around 100 euros. The iPhone 14 could thus start at 1099 euros, the Pro at 1259 euros and the Pro Max at 1359 euros. Note that the Max should register as the replacement for the Mini. It would then be expected at a price of around 1199 euros.

Apple has not yet confirmed any of its rumors, so we will have to wait until the September keynote to discover the expected series of iPhone 14.
