Moroccan footballers in full force rejected from prize money for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Funds will be sent to help poor families in Morocco. For their performance at the Mundial, the Moroccans earned 25 million dollars.
Of course, not all of this money will go to charity, as bonus players only make up a fraction of this amount. The remaining funds will be transferred to the federation to ensure its activities and the development of football in the country.
Note that on December 17, the match for 3rd place at the 2022 World Cup between the national teams of Morocco and Croatia took place. The game concluded with a score of 2:1 in favor of the Croatians, which did not allow Morocco to win a historic medal. However, the Moroccan national team for the first time in history played in the semifinals of the World Cup, also beating Canada, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.
