The largest increase in the average price of a shopping basket occurred in the Netto chain (9.15%), and the largest decrease in Intermarche stores (-4.03%). Every year, an increase in the prices of test products was observed in 9 out of 13 analyzed chains. The biggest increase in the price of the basket was again recorded in the Lidl chain, where the average price of a basket in July 2024 was as much as PLN 69.47 higher than in 2023, i.e. by 27.98%. – identified in the report.

The July survey shows that Auchan is still the leader in terms of the lowest prices. The average cost of a shopping basket in this series was PLN 252.73, which is PLN 20.82 (8.98%) more compared to the cheapest basket in June of this year, which belonged to this series a month ago.

In July, Auchan was the leader in terms of lowest product prices, offering 18 products at lowest prices. Right behind it was Biedronka with 6 products with the lowest prices, and the next places were taken by: Intermarche (4 products) and Selgros Cash & Carry (3 products). The Kaufland and Makro Cash & Carry chains offered the cheapest 2 products each, while the Aldi, Carrefour, Dino, E.Leclerc, Netto and POLOmarket stores offered 1 product each.

The most expensive products tested (25) were available in July this year. which can be found on the Netto network. The next places were POLOmarket (6 results) and Dino (5 results). Next on the list were: Carrefour, Kaufland, Selgros Cash & Carry (4 products each), Aldi and Lidl (3 products each) and Biedronka, E.Leclerc and Intermarche with 1 product with the highest price. – out of 40 checked – the report is highlighted.
