Moussa Sissoko spoke about his relationship with José Mourinho at Tottenham, with whom he lived moments of ups and downs. The French international midfielder assured, in an interview with Le Parisiense, that he did not understand why the Portuguese coach’s behavior and decisions had changed.
«I felt the same as Paul [Pogba]. The coach will have his reasons and we would have to ask him about the decisions he made. For me it was hard and frustrating. Every time he played, he performed well, but I had to pay for his willingness to change. I never surrendered and I did things well and that’s why I’m in the national team today. At Tottenham, I did well until December. I played almost every weekend, but suddenly the coach decided to change and I started less often, with the exception of the Europa League. I did what he wanted. It was difficult for me, but I tried to keep my head up.”
Sissoko is part of Didier Deschamps’ set of options for the Euro-2020, with the blues to have Portugal, Germany and Hungary as opponents in the group stage.
