At 28 years old, Terry Kennedy’s life has already taken several turns and the young Englishman has some unusual episodes. A seemingly unknown name in the world of football, he played for Sheffield United, where he lined up alongside current Manchester United captain Harry Maguire, having even faced players such as Jesse Lingard or Paul Pogba in the FA Youth Cup final.
After stints at clubs at lower levels of English football, Kennedy failed to succeed in the sports world, largely due to a knee injury, opting to end his football career in 2018. He then started working as a construction machinery operator, but he was far from knowing that his luck was yet to change.
The former player is starring in a viral video on the internet, where he sees himself contemplating the winning lottery bulletin, moments after realizing that he had won first prize. Maguire’s former teammate won a million pounds and the reaction of incredulity at realizing his luck is worth seeing.
The player appears visibly moved by the achievement, he turns 29 next Sunday, so he may have had an early birthday present here.
At 28 years old and after having been forced to give up his dream of becoming a professional football player, Terry Kennedy’s life is proof of the famous expression: “The world goes round”.
