This situation is linked to the losses of 350 million euros that happened last season due to several factors, namely with the pandemic.
The Catalan colossus is trying to get around the situation by letting out athletes who do not join the plans and reduce the salaries of players in the squad.
If the club does not comply with the salary cap, it will not be able to enroll the reinforcements Eric Garcia, Emerson, Depay and Aguero and will not be able to renew with Lionel Messi.
