Leroy Sané broke the deadlock in the 17th minute and assisted Joshua Kimmich for the first of his two goals ten minutes later. Serge Gnabry signed the third in the 32nd minute, after a pass from “space interpreter” Thomas Müller. An own goal by Vasilios Lampropoulos in the 43rd minute made the difference 4-0 before half-time.
Robert Lewandowski’s usual goal was missing, in the 61st minute. Kimmich, in turn, confirmed the encore four minutes later, after a move by Goretzka. At 79, Choupo-Moting, who replaced the Pole, also entered his name on the scoreboard at 79.
