NEW YORK – A 9-year-old girl died Tuesday after being rescued from a lake on Staten Island.
According to information from authorities, the minor was rescued by a New York City Fire Department diver after falling in an area of Silver Lake at around 2:00 pm on Tuesday.
The minor was transported to Richmond University Hospital in critical condition and died almost an hour later.
The circumstances of the incident and who was with the minor is unknown.
