Detectives of the La Serena Homicide Brigade, at the request of the Ovalle prosecutor on duty, are investigating the discovery of the body of a 64-year-old woman.
According to antecedents, the finding would have occurred today in the Los Leices sector, Ovalle commune, so the prosecutor on duty in order to rule out or confirm the participation of third parties would have requested the attendance of specialized detectives .
Therefore, in the afternoon the detectives of the Homicide Brigade traveled together with experts from the Regional Criminalistics laboratory in order to begin the first investigative proceedings.
“In the place the corpse of a female person was found, at the moment staff on duty of this brigade is carrying out the investigation procedures, such as fixing the site of the event and gathering evidence,” said Commissioner Claudio Alarcón, head of the BH La Serena.
The detectives continue with the investigation work in the place in order to be able to determine the causes and circumstances of the death.
